How to insert page numbers into a PDF
Adding numbers to a PDF helps readers keep track of long documents. This is especially useful for legal files, academic papers, and business reports. Our tool lets you insert custom pagination exactly where you need it.
First, upload your file using the drop zone. The settings panel will appear on the right side of the screen. You can choose a specific numbering format, like "Page 1 of 5" or just simple numerical digits. Next, click the positioning grid to place the numbers at the top or bottom of the page. You can even change the text color, font size, and margin spacing to match your document styling perfectly.
Custom starting numbers
If your document has a cover page or a table of contents, you might not want the numbering to start immediately. Use the "Start Number At" setting to begin counting exactly where your main content begins. You can also specify an exact page range so the tool only numbers specific sections of your file.
Complete privacy focused processing
Privacy is a major concern when working with important business or personal files. This tool runs entirely in your browser using local processing. Your PDF is never uploaded to an external cloud server. You get instant results without compromising your data security.
